In a recent episode they use a Phantom Flex Camera to capture the Canon 7D’s mirror box and shutter mechanism being triggered at a variety of shutter speeds (1/4000s, 1/8000s, etc). The footage itself was recorded at 10,000fps, and the result is a look at a shutter and mirror box in action – something that would otherwise be nearly invisible to the naked eye.

Also check out what they have done to that poor Canon 7D!

Canon 7D Durability Test https://thefotobug.net/blog/videos/canon-7d-durability-test/ https://thefotobug.net/blog/videos/canon-7d-durability-test/#respond Tue, 19 Feb 2013 03:13:07 +0000 http://thefotobug.net/?post_type=videos&p=926 7d-fire

Just how durable is the Canon 7d?  Well, here is an extreme test via drops, bangs, kicks, fire and ice!  DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

However, if anyone of our readers/viewers would like to donate their camera for our own durability testing, we would be more than happy to oblige!  Mine has been back to Canon twice for repairs and it hasn’t been through 1% of what this poor camera experienced.
